Thank you to all that have joined MINDFUL YOGA in the lead up to Christmas.
I love this time of year, with all the seasonal festivities of Halloween, Bonfire Night, Advent and Christmas.
But often I find myself totally stressed out and exhausted from all the preparations and celebrations and at times find it hard to really be present in the here and now.
Looking at the seasons, this time of year is also the time where we should slow down, eat nourishing foods and rest, relax and reflect. But more often than not, our busy life's don't allow for this and it is difficult at the best of times to make room for time to just BE.
It is for this reason that we will be focusing on restorative Yoga and we will take more time for relaxation and mindful meditations during our classes before christmas.
In addition to that I would like to invite you to join me in bringing some Yoga and mindfulness to your daily life. To integrate what we practice during class and to extend the benefits into your day and week.
We will do this with a few small pieces of homework that I will give you at the end of the class and I will give you reminders via Facebook.

Here is the Poem I read in class this week.
It very much resonates with me in relation to what we practice during the body scan.
Connecting to our body, mind and spirit and learning to honour its wisdom.
Your history is here inside your body
-Martha Elliot
Your history is here inside your body.
Your body is your storehouse
of learning's, feelings, thoughts, and experiences.
Only waiting to be invited to reveal your treasures to yourself.
Help yourself.
As you let the learning emerge
and take shape, you can appreciate
the wisdom of your body.
Each cell alive with
spirit, emotion and intelligence.
Ready to help you at any moment,
always with you and for you.
